For our issue of Australian Country we’ve again travelled all over to find the most inspirational stories about country people and their homes and lifestyles.

In the NSW Southern Highlands we profile a whisky distillery in the remote ghost town of Joadja and visit caterer Brigid Kennedy at her gorgeous country retreat and farm gate stall. We celebrate country flair southern Queensland style in the home of antique dealer and painted finish expert Helen King and introduce Natasha Radford, the only female racing judge in Victoria. Our food files heads to the Derwent Valley in southern Tasmania where three generations of Sally Wise’s family cook up a storm while the recipe feature explores the luscious delights of the tamarillo. Our service features focuses on decorative finishes from art works and cushions to throws and quirky wall art and our travel story takes us cruising around some of the most remote and wildly beautiful parts of Tasmania.
